Roshani was born in a Tulu family in Mumbai and lives in Mulund. She is a typical Mumbai girl and is comfortable travelling by trains and other public transport.
2.Roshani has studied commerce
Roshani is a graduate of commerce from the Mulund College of Commerce. But she couldn't use the skills she studied in college as she forayed into acting. Commerce's loss, tellydom's gain!
3. Roshani has acted in plays
Roshani wasn't confident of her Hindi speaking skills before she started acting. So to brush up on her language, she started acting in Premchand's plays so she could be more confident in her dialogue delivery without being apprehensive about her accent.
4. Roshani is a Capricorn
Roshani's birthday falls on 29th December, which means she is a Capricorn. And like a true Capricorn, she is ambitious and perseverant. She was always attracted to the glamour industry because it promises fame and money, and is now thriving in the industry because of her talent.
5.Roshani loves travelling
Most people love travelling, but not in the way Roshani does. She believes in impromptu trips where she can just take off without notice. Roshani has covered almost all of North India in her impromptu trips and one of her Goa trips that was supposed to last for a few days ended up lasting for a whole month. That is taking spontaneity to another level altogether!
6.Roshani is a speedster
Can you imagine Sajni in a race car, at top speeds, rushing towards the finish line? We know its hard to reconcile, but Roshani loves speed and consequently, is an enthusiastic driver. So much so, that she participated in a race last year in Chennai. According to her own admission, she is an adrenaline junkie and speed of any sort excites her. She would also love to race a lot more in the future.
7. Roshani is a movie buff
Though she works in TV shows, Roshani's heart beats for movies. Roshani loves watching movies, so much so that she carries her DVD player on the sets on watches atleast 1 movie a day. And no Bollywood mush for Roshani, she likes watching English and foreign language films. Taking tips from foreign movies, eh?
8. Roshani is self-confessedly chilled out
There are people who plan their lives to the minutest detail, and then there's Roshani. She believes in taking life as it comes, living in the moment. Even about her profession, Roshani says that she wanted to be in the glamour industry, but had never planned how to go about it and things just happened. We're happy how things worked out for you!
9. Roshani has played a drug addict!
She may be playing the goofy and homely bahu Sajni in Kairee, but don't be fooled by this avatar of hers! Before slipping into a saree and playing Sajni, she has played a drug addict in one of her previous shows. With purple hair, gothic make up and a killer attitude, Roshani says that it was a fun role to play.
10. Roshani cried on seeing Sajni!
What is this, you might ask. The truth is, when she tried on Sajni's look for the first time, Roshani was so shocked at her trademark glittery sarees and make up that she had tears in her eyes. She was convinced about her look only when the creatives convinced her that it would work. What's more, Sajni wasn't sure she could pull off the line," Aap to mera nature jaante ho!" Thank God she agreed to use it, now that it has become her trademark.
