Indrani has been learning classical music since childhood from Pandit Aurobinda Mitra. Graduated in Kolkata only. Learned Tappa for 10 years and won 'Successful Tappa Singer Award' from Paschim Banga Rajya Sangeet Academy. Apart from being a singer, she can play various music instruments like violin, guitar, ektara, dotara, drums and mouth organ. She has a band in Kolkata called 'Softrock Blues'.
