The episode started on a great note with Pakistani captain Atif Aslam singing 'Dilbar Mere Kab Tak Mujhe' in his own inimitable style. He sang a slow and romantic version of it, and soon the audience and jury were lost in the song.
But that was not all. Atif said that he was honoured to be in such great musical company and asked Ashaji to join him on stage. Asha Bhosle readily obliged and the duo song 'Chura Liya Hai Tumne' together. They were a treat to watch and this impromptu performance got a standing ovation from everyone.
The striker from the Indian team was Budhaditya, who sang the mischievious 'Subhanallah'. Budhaditya being a Bengali, Ashaji spoke to him in Bengali and asked him not to be scared and give his best. The captains and jury said that he had a great voice but needed some more riyaz to be perfect.
The opener from the Pakistan team was Mulazim Hussain. This powerhouse performer sang 'Bheege Honth' and impressed Abida Parveen who blessed him. Asha Bhosle, too, loved his performance but advised him to work on his riyaz and sing soothing songs. Mulazim accepted all of these tips gratefully.
The lady rockstar of India, Indrani, endeared herself to everyone with her chulbula nature. Her performance of 'Haal-e-Dil' took this liking to another level. She got a standing ovation from the jury, and Ashaji gave her the biggest compliment when she said that she wanted to join Indrani on stage during her performance. This rockstar also got a hug from all the judges and a chocolate from Runa Laila.
Nadeem Abbas, about whom Runa Laila joked that he looked like a company executive, sang 'Bin Tere'. He got a mixed review from everyone, and the general opinion was that while he was very good in some places, he still needed to work on his singing.
The soulful singer from Bikaner was not well, but still tried his best at singing 'Ishq Sufiyana'. The jury went easy on Shahzad because of his ill health, and even Himesh said that his performance was only 10% of his potential.
When Imraan came on stage, everyone was confident that he would sing well. And he proved their confidence right when he sang the energetic ' Aahun Aahun'. He became the first Pakistani contestant to get a standing ovation and more than complimentary comments from the judges and captains.
The episode ended with Ayesha asking the jury which team had more potential. Abida Parveen, in her own style, said that they all have their identity and all of them are precious finds. Runa Laila and Asha Bhosle continued the diplomacy by saying that they haven't seen enough performances to judge thir threat level. So the episode ended on a happy note for all but with a promise of competition ahead.
