Nautanki- The Comedy Theatre is all set to light up your weekends with unlimited laughter. For the first time on Indian Television, you will see an innovative and larger than life comedy show, Broadway style.
The show aims at bringing amusing issues of daily life that viewers will connect with, through a contiguous story line, making for an entertaining weekend.
An entirely new concept on Television, Nautanki follows the format of live acts and a special four-turntable construction with changing props that helps the acts to move fluidly between locations. Be ready to witness a confluence of theatre, film and television weaved around a new theme in every episode.
The theatre owners-
Neha Dhupia and Tusshar Kapoor are the team owners of a Nautanki company in search of the main lead along with their ensemble cast of four primary characters.
Meet the 'nautankibaaz ' no. 1- Gurpreet Ghuggi – the famous stand-up comedian from Jalandhar as the Jaadugar padosi
'Nautankibaaz' no. 2 is the famous vamp turned comedian - Kamya Punjabi as the Chulbuli Patni
'Nautankibaaz' no. 3- The versatile Rashmi Desai-Sandhu a.k.a Tapasya from Uttaran as the 'Natkhat Saali'.
'Nautankibaaz' no. 4- India’s most adored child comedian Saloni Daimi as the Bathakti Maa.
The story line moves forward with every episode as these artists play different characters trapped in various situations along with special cameos by different celebrity guests in every episode. The first episode will see the father- son duo, Jeetendra and Tusshar Kapoor along with yesteryear villain Ranjit as a bar owner.
The subsequent episodes will also have special cameos by Bigg Boss contestant Imam Siddique aka Mr. Manorajan, India’s new heartthrob Ayushmann Khurrana and the witty Kunal Roy Kapur.So, mark the date on the calendar and get ready for a solid dose of laughter every Saturday & Sunday from this week at 9.00 pm only on COLORS!
