The housemates

This season of Bigg Boss was 'Alag' in more ways than one. And one way that it was 'different' was the spectacular way in which the housemates failed at almost all luxury budget tasks. Ego issues, fights, and sometimes plain laziness lead to the dismal performance. Here's a quick recap!

Paani Da Rang!

The first luxury budget was quite the 'balancing act'! The  'Taraazu' task was marked by Urvashi and Kashif's 'aam aadmi'  vs celebrity argument. Apart from this hitch, the housemates fared well in the task, and won Rs. 2500 as their luxury budget.

Coffee wars

The Rs. 2500 luxury budget  caused arguments between the coffee and non-coffee groupsin the house. While some housemates wanted their daily dose of caffeine, others thought it was too expensive. And in the middle of all this, Vrajesh was hell-bent on getting his papayas.

Sidhu's punishment

As the lowest performer in the 1st task, Sidhu was asked to put up a bhangra performance with the girls in the house. Sidhuji rose to this challenge, and gave a smashing performance!

Chhota Boss is here!

Bigg Boss gave the next challenge to Vrajesh, who was the Chhota Boss of the house, and had to order everyone around in the house. Vrajesh did a superb job of it, and it earned the housemates a decent luxury budget.

Housemates become slaves

The next luxury task was that of 'Badshah and Ghulam'. The Badshahs had to order the slaves around, who had to slog for the Badshahs' pleasure. But Sidhu refused to be subservient, and broke almost all the ghulam rules, angering his team-mates.

Water trouble

Due to Sidhu and Karishma's abysmal performance, Bigg Boss cancelled the task and also cut the water supply to the house as punishment. This was torture for the housemates, who had to use the hand-pump for their water needs, and the housemates had to beg to Bigg Boss for water.

Politricks in Bigg Boss

The Rajneeti task was the one that changed all equations in the house. Urvashi and Niketan formed their own parties, and started convincing people to join their party in order to win. After the last failure, the housemates took this task too seriously, going all out with their planning and plotting.

Rajniti turns serious

Bigg Boss included Delnaaz in the Rajniti task, which tilted the balance in Urvashi's favour. Niketan's party members didn't take this too well, especially Sampat, who cried and fainted in a big show of sorrow. This caused Sapna to rebel against Bigg Boss. But thankfully, the housemates got a nominal luxury budget for this task.

Panic Room

Sidhu was given another chance to win extra luxury points for his team. He was introduced to the Panic Room, where he had to collect as many tokens as possible while the walls closed on him. Sidhu finally did succeed in winning some points for his team. 

Major Saab

After Mink's wild card entry, she was immediately put to task as the 'Major Sahab' task began. Major Sidhu was in charge of the jawans and he put them through a gruelling routine. Meanwhile, Vrajesh was given a secret task, which made him rebel against Sidhu, and get punished in return. 

Colourful task

Taking the task one step ahead, Sidhu and his chosen jawans were pitted against the rebels, whose mission was to put gulaal on Sidhu's face. This task had an unexpected ending as Sapna and Urvashi got into an ugly fight, that ended with Sapna calling Sidhu a coward!

Diwali special

The housemates were divided into two teams and given a Diwali special luxury task of making diyas. This was one of the most physically challenging tasks for the housemates as they had to keep the diyas lit throughout the night. Inspite of all these efforts, the housemates were deprived of the luxury budget due to Vishal-Sana's goof up (Watch it here!)

Its a zoo out there!

The 'Shikari and Prani' task brought out the animal instinct of the housemates! The hunters had to take care of the animals in cages, who in turn would try to escape. Mink and Rajev had a big fight over Rajev's whip hitting her, whereas the hunters were disgruntled at having to work. But the animals' efforts paid off, and they got a luxury budget!

Shopping spree!

Vishal and Karishma's sorry performance in the 'Shikari aur Prani' task cost them their luxury items. But Bigg Boss also sent the duo out of the house for the first time, to shop for luxury items in a mall! After a tutorial by the rest of the housemates, they managed to get everything that they wanted!

Angels and demons

The 'Shaitaan aur Farishtey' task divided the house into black and white, literally. The 'shaitaans' tried their best to irritate the 'farishtas' who had to stay calm and composed all the time. Farishta Vishal finally cracked when Sapna tore off his costume, and his defiance caused the housemates the luxury budget yet again!

Turf wars

This blur of activity was for the 'Do Bigha Zameen' task. The housemates, divided into Red and Blue teams had to claim their share of the house by hoisting flags. Niketan tried to reclaim the bathroom during Red Team's lunch hour, which annoyed them no end. But he was rewarded with special luxury items, while the housemates sulked with a zero luxury budget.

Times pass!

The 'Times Pass' task was one of the few that the housemates were successful at. While they had to turn the hands of the clock manually, be it day or night, they were rewarded the next day with fulltoo entertainment by a flash mob. Not just that, some housemates also went to a sabzi mandi to spend their substantial luxury budget!

Cat and Mouse

Bigg Boss showed its 'Alag Chhe' side during the 'Chor, Police and Aam Aadmi' task. The chors Imam and Sapna did manage to harass the police with their criminal ways. Imam threw tantrums, threatened Vishal and generally created a fuss. And of course, who can forget Sana's Bulbul Pandey avatar?

Dhobi Ghat

The 'Kya Dhoya Kya Paaya' task was probably the most taxing for the housemates as they had to wash and iron clothes for basic amenities like cooking gas and water. The frayed tempers led to fights between almost all housemates. By the end of the task, the housemates were desperate for food and water. But it was a happy ending as Santa brought them gifts after the task!

No news is bad news

The latest luxury budget task was 'Aaj Ki Taaza Khabar' where Rajev and Delnaaz had to cover all the important news in the house. Though the task passed easily at first, the real life drama between Rajev and Imam, plus the fights over duties put a spanner in the works and Bigg Boss gave them a big fat zero for the task.
